    Economic Vitality Draft Goal 1: Promote and advance Tucson’s economy.

    a. Attract investment to diversify Tucson’s economy 

    b. Increase international trading partners/ economic relationships 

    c. Promote cross-sector partnerships 

    d. Support and retain existing legacy businesses 

    e. Bolster Tucson’s entrepreneurial ecosystem 

    f. Support local business development  

    g. Increase support for minority-owned businesses 

    h. Incentivize desired development 

    i. Promote sustainable economic growth 

    j. Develop code for innovative business design   

    k. Support innovation and future-focused development 

    l. Develop an inventory of existing jobs

    Economic Vitality Draft Goal 2: Promote Uniqueness of Tucson.

    a. Emphasize local people and cultures to enhance the sense of place
    b. Emphasize the importance of immigrants in placemaking
    c. Celebrate our heritage and traditions
    d. Improve marketing of Tucson’s arts and culture
    e. Highlight local heritage foods/City of Gastronomy
    f. Promote locally produced goods
    g. Increase tourism
    h. Highlight and inform the public of the economic benefits brought by events/festivals
    i. Support arts and culture events across the City
    j. Improve access to arts and culture events across the City
    k. Increase events, attractions, and leisure activities
    l. Invest in arts and culture programs in schools and community centers
    m. Identify funding opportunities for arts and culture

    Economic Vitality Draft Goal 3: Foster a local economy that provides opportunities for all Tucsonan's to thrive.

    a. Increase employment opportunities for people with different skills and education levels
    b. Incentivize hiring people with barriers to employment
    c. Retain students after graduation
    d. Promote retention of employees and employers
    e. Promote job/workforce training and development
    f. Support K-12 and beyond workforce development
    g. Promote education and workforce training to meet the needs of a changing climate
    h. Attract high wage jobs and industry
    i. Actively support inclusive economic development
    j. Promote the use of local goods and services
    k. Promote dignity and respect for all work

    Economic Vitality Draft Goal 4: Maximize Tucson and the region's strategic location.

    a. Expand economic development partnerships both domestically and internationally  
    b. Increase integration with surrounding markets including Phoenix and Mexico

    d. Promote locally sourced materials
