How to Give Input on Draft Goals

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the current draft goals for the Plan Tucson. The Plan Tucson update is an iterative process, and the goals are being revised as we continue to get more feedback. We are asking for you to contribute feedback after our initial processing of the Working Group feedback.

Please offer any feedback you have. In particular the Plan Tucson Team would like to know:

  • Is anything missing?
  • What is essential?
  • What else would you like to share?

Community Resources

  • Improve Community Wellness through increased public health access and utilization across the City.
  • Expand access to quality education for all ages.
  • Support a safe, vibrant and collaborative community.

Economic Vitality

  • Promote and advance Tucson’s economy.
  • Promote Uniqueness of Tucson
  • Foster a local economy that provides opportunities for all Tucsonan's to thrive
  • Maximize Tucson and the region's strategic location

Land Use, Housing, Neighborhoods, and Design

  • Expand affordable and accessible housing options for all.
  • Enhance public infrastructure, facilities, and services to foster equitable and sustainable development.
  • Recognize the importance of historic and archaeological resources in the built environment.
  • Ensure quality development with private and public investments.
  • Integrate transportation and land use decisions.

Transportation, Mobility, and Access

  • Maintain, adapt, and develop quality public infrastructure, facilities and services.
  • Integrate transportation and land use decisions to support multi-modal access.
  • Support a safe, vibrant and collaborative community (also in Community Resources).

Water, Climate Action, and Green Space

  • Reduce the community's carbon footprint.
  • Promote responsible use of water.
  • Develop a pollution-free community.
  • Preserve and protect natural ecosystems.
  • Be a leader in approaches to climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience (Cross-cutting goal 1).
